Winners of Painted Pianos
Painted Pianos in the Park Art Competition, an interactive art project
The Highland Arts Council, Highland Music School and the City of Highland Parks and Rec Department presented the Painted Piano Contest on May 3 in the bandstand on the Square. First place winner was Carys Goymerac, who was awarded $300. Second place winner was Lauren Whaley, who received $150. The weather was not cooperative, but the contestants were tenacious troopers and finished their designs. The pianos will remain on the bandstand until June 8. Please come by to see the artwork and feel free to play the pianos.
I you would like to own the piano and signed artwork, make an offer to the Highland Arts Council. We are asking for $50 or the best offer. Call 618-558-0054 or send an email to Lynnette.
